Roles

SaySift is the controller for account, security, and service-operation data. For feedback submitted to a project owner, SaySift usually acts as a processor or service provider. We may act as an independent controller for abuse and security logs.

What we store

We may store account details, project configuration, API key hashes, feedback content, optional contact email, page URL, browser, device, language, and hashed IP technical context.

Purposes and legal bases

Data is processed to provide and secure the service, support users, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and let project owners manage feedback.

Reporter controls

Reporter email links open a secure feedback thread where the reporter can view replies, unsubscribe, or remove contact data while retaining anonymized feedback.

Retention

Project data remains until you delete it or delete your account. Completed notification records are retained up to 30 days by default, and privacy request records are retained for limited operational evidence. Backups follow a separate operational retention window.
